Personal Bio

I'll probably be updating this quite frequently because usually whenever I look back at these bios I always cringe haha! I need to get better bio writing skills~

I'm a geek, obsessed with food and a clumsy ditz that trips over impossible objects. I have a weakness for cute things, maybe that's why I love mascots so much! My anime tastes are broad, I'm willing to try out anything - my favourites include Kaitou Jeanne, Full Moon, Shaman King, Rurouni Kenshin, Code Geass, La Corda, Tenchi and Princess Tutu. Just naming a few lol! My music tastes area very broad as well, I'm willing to give anything a chance apart from Rap; talking with a beat is not my kind of thing sadly. I play violin and piano mainly, I can also play bits of keyboard, recorder, organ and guitar [classic and electric]! Although I have a wide range of music tastes my favourite is Jpop! More specifically anime, game and movie soundtracks lol.

Y'know despite being a clumsy ditz that falls over things I actually do ballet and jazz dance. Surely that would prevent me from tripping over things much but hey c'est la vie. My obsession [and has been for years now] is Arina Tanemura! I'm in love with her works, artwork is beautiful a lot of her works are such tear-jerkers ;_; CLAMP are a strong second, currently I love Tsubasa!

Cosplay Bio

I got into cosplay in 2005 through friends on a forum I went on. They told me about the MCM Expo and so I went in 2006 and I enjoyed myself a lot! In 2007 I figured I'd start cosplaying properly as cosplayers seemed to have a lot of fun when I went in May and Oct 06. My first actual costume was Kyo Sohma in May 06 BUT I had no wig so I couldn't really call it a proper cosplay. My first REAL cosplay was Duo Maxwell which I wore to the Midlands Expo 07 and I had so much fun that I couldn't just stop! I started modifying pre-existing clothings at first when I made my Riku costume. My first costume which I made by myself was my Moogle Mog cosplay, it was also my first mascot and I was so proud!

Cosplaying makes me happy with all the improvements you make over the time you've spent cosplaying. For instance I know I would have never been able to make my Tsubasa Sakura cosplay back in 2007! Though I still have a lot of learning to do, like how to make the frickin' hem neat! And I need to start making the insides just as neat as the outside just to make it nicer in general so that people don't puke when they see the inside of my costumes ahaha 8D

My favourite costume is definitely my Tsubasa Sakura costume. I love the coins on the costume and the amount of noise it makes is just hilarious! However my Great Saiyaman cosplay is a close second, I love being the Great Saiyaman, I really do! It's so fun making an absolute FOOL of myself! My proudest moment definitely has to be winning second place at Midlands Expo with my Hao Asakura cosplay!! [With Selph as my awesome Ren!] It was my first ever Expo award and the costume wasn't even completed so I was really chuffed!

I'm had plenty of fun with cosplay, I'm not gonna stop now! I want to get really good because it's given me lots of new skills that I didn't have before and not just sewing! I've become such a fan of cosplay that whenever I see a new anime/manga/video game I always want to cosplay someone from it LOL [Unless of course it's a sucky series]. However I'm one of those people that refuse to cosplay someone unless I've seen/read/played the series, it'd be boring if I made something I knew nothing!

{Failed attempt at poetry C&P from DA}

I wish you a very Happy Christmas day
The day when Father Noel makes his way
To deliver the presents that bring such glee
When the clock strikes midnight, we all shout "WHEE"
We munch on our turkey and sip some wine
Thus people become merry for the dine
My year's been joyous I wish your's the same
Be happy on Christmas day, don't be lame!
My poem is coming to an end
With four more rhyming lines to pend
I hope you like my sonnet full of cheese
But I wanted to be clever at least
When writing a Merry Christmas message
I hope the presents you get is of much usage :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS <3
I hope you liked my failed attempt of a sonnet, I -tried- to stick to an iambic pentameter structure and tried to make each line rhyme which is why it sounds so... LAME and CHEESY! I need to get my creative juices going since I have to do an original writing piece at some point so thought I'd do a lovely Xmas sonnet for you all ^_^

It was hard work ;_; My literacy sucks, definitely not going to attempt writing one for New Years D'8

{Brief overview of what's up lately}
Man oh man I've died on LJ! It's been a while but I've been busy, I've had a lot of school concerts popping up; productions and shows I've had to do Tech for and then once school finished for the holidays Saturday-Tuesday I had County Youth Orchestra!! So in reality this is my first day of the Xmas holidays 8'D

I've never felt so much pain from playing violin EVER! I'm used to playing for hours, but after an hour long break, 10mins into rehersal my arm was in deep pain! The instructors like to push us hard but the experience was worthwhile! Those pieces are long though, the concert was dedicated to the orchestra... I'm not used to concerts like that, every concert I've been in have been a variety! It was weird playing solidly.

Ummm... My life is pretty boring right now. I've been busy making character hats for people. It all started out making a Kyo and Yuki [Fruits Basket] hats for my two friends, then their mother wanted one! So they commissioned a Momiji hat off me [from the same series], I wonder if their brother and father wants one, then the whole family could have one! Now I'm making Mokona character hats for Gwennie and Charlie, I'm half way through making white Mokona and I've got all the materials for black Mokona! I'm considering making a Kyo hat for myself, or a Patomon [Digimon]. I want one for myself damnit!! XD I get too overly attached to them when making them and want to keep each and every one of them! XD One day I'll get my own I swear >_>

Cosplay wise, my Jeanne wig came within 5 days. But my Haine wig STILL hasn't arrived and it's from a UK seller, I ordered it 4 weeks ago now >_< Jeanne wig was from HK, curse you! They're supposed to be reliable as well, I sent them an e-mail but I have to wait until January since they're on their annual holiday apparently =/ I'm worried because it's around £21 >_<

I got to see Twilight movie on the first day! Yay! It was suprisingly alright, Edward's sparkling face was ridiculous though. But that part in the book was ridiculous for me anyway so I won't attack it too much. Alice was amazing <3 I love her! I love Jasper as well, he cracked me up everytime he appeared on screen xD

Brief overview done! Okay it wasn't brief at all, but it's brief for me! 8D;
