| I've been planning to do a Gatomon cosplay for quite some time now... originally she was to be made for Minami 15 or Ayacon 2009; but due to time issues this was not possible. However... I did manage to get her ready for Minamicon in April 2010! *dancedancedance* Gatomon is biiiiig. And had no common sense when it comes to exiting rooms (having not realised that she should never walk backwards when attempting to leave a masquerade hall when you have exceptionally large ears, a long tail and haven't looked behind you to check where you are going, as you will collide with something!), but the convention was great fun and everyone loved seeing her out. Made the many, many months it took making sure she was ready to go to Minami worth it. (Plus I got I prize for entering her into the contest - my first ever masquerade prize!). ^^ The tail had a harnessing system to hold it up that, quite conveniently, managed to somehow break itself during transport, which meant that the extreme weight if the tail due to the large tail ring made it hang down limp rather than upright andit actually started to stretch the fabric of the costume downwards as the day went on... with it just about managing to survive until the end of the masquerade. But I guess it gives me something to aim to fix if I get to go to Ayacon this year, as I do plan on bringing her out again - she is just so fun to wear (and very popular! She was hugged so much. I've never had so much attention. :)) | |

Hopefully I'll be bringing Gatomon to Amecon this year (provided I can work out how to get her down there, and then find someone who is willing to be an attendant/guide for her so I can safely move around the con)... so anyone who didn't get a chance to see her at Minami and will be attending Ayacon should hopefully a chance then. ^^
